Some Facts About International Women’s Day And Everyone Should Know That

There are many days that we celebrate every year as National or International Days that emphasize a particular concept or purpose. And there is a reason for every celebration. The main purpose of the celebration is to raise awareness among the people.

International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on 8th March in all over the world. It is also a movement to raise the consciousness among us about the right’s of women, about their dignity and their vital role in human’s life.

From When And Where Women’s Day Is Celebrated First:

International Women’s Day first introduced as a National Women’s Day. And it was celebrated first on 28th February, 1909 in New York City, America. But in 1910 at International Women’s Conference in Denmark it was decided to celebrate International Women’s Day every year on 8th March. And in 1975 United Nations officially certified that. From then every year we celebrate 8th March as International Women’s Day.

International Women’s Day Celebration In Different Countries :

There are many countries including Cameron,Chile where people celebrates International Women’s Day as a festival. They give gifts to their wife, mother, sister or any lady of their lives.

In some countries such as Bulgaria or Romania the day is celebrated as similar to mother’s day. Where children presents some gifts to their mother.

In many countries including Russia, Nepal, Ukraine International Women’s Day is an official holiday.

Every year we celebrate International Women’s Day world wide. But does it fulfill it’s real purpose. Are women really secured in the world. It is not just a day that we celebrate but it is our own duty to raise awareness among us. It is our own duty that we can ensure women’s security and their right. We can together help to create such an atmosphere that women can live happily, safely with their dignity and self-respect and without any fear.
