It’s a ghat which is built during the time of British rule in India in 1841, along the Kolkata bank of the Hooghly River. It is located between the Water Gate and the St. George’s Gate of the Fort William. W. Fitzgerald designed the monument of James Prinsep and is rich in Greek and Gothic inlays.
